Here's another Alternate Ending. This time, it's the infamous "No Such Luck". Hope you enjoy.
(Lincoln is sitting on the back porch while his family is at the game, looking pretty mad.)
Lincoln: (to the viewers) " I can't believe they actually locked me out the house, which is also my home. My own family, locking me out. I'll admit, it was stupid and wrong of me to lie to them and take advantage of it, and I probably should've just told them that I just wanted some me time, but honestly, I think this is way more than I deserve. I cantake getting kicked out of family activities and being locked out of my room, but being locked out of my own home? Uh-uh, I'm nothaving it. When my so-called 'family' gets home, I'm gonna have a talk with them." (thinks for a minute) "Hmm. I wonder if the windows are locked?" (he goes to the living room window. luckily, it was unlocked, he opened it and went inside.) "Huh. Guess they forgot to lock the windows. How convenient for me."
LATER
(Vanzilla is parked in the driveway. the family opens the door to see a ticked off Lincoln.)
Lincoln: "Hello, family."
Everyone: Lincoln?!
Lynn: "What are you doing here?!"
Lincoln: "What am I doing here? News flash; I live here!"
Lori: "The bigger question is, how did you get inside?
Lincoln: (points to the window) "The window."
Lynn: "We forgot to lock the windows! Ugh!" (facepalms. turns her attention to Lincoln) "Get out!"
Lincoln: "No. I already told you, I live here."
Lynn: (angered, she gets closer to Lincoln and raises a fist at him) "If you don't get out of here, I'm gonna-"
Luna: (pull Lynn back) "WHOA! Slow down Lynn! We don't need to get violent here."
Lincoln: "Just hear me out." (Inhales, then exhales) "I. Am. Not. Bad. Luck."
Lola: "Don't try to fool us! We know you are!"
Lincoln: "Oh really." (turns his attention to Luna) "Luna, remember when we went to that SMOOCH concert?
Luna: "Yeah."
Lincoln: "Did anything bad happen, something life threatening that I would be deemed 'bad luck'?"
Luna: (with a sad look on her face) "No."
Lincoln: (to Lola) "Lola, all those pageants I went to, did anything bad happen those times?"
Lola: (with a sad look on her face) "No."
Lincoln: (to Leni) "Leni, all those times I went to the Mall with you to pick out clothes, anything bad happen those times?"
Leni: (with a sad look on her face) "No."
Lincoln: (To his all sisters) "All thoseevents I attended, was I bad luck? Did anything life threatening happen?"
Sisters (sans Lynn, with sad looks on their faces): "No."
Lincoln: "I won't deny that I brought this on myself. I can take being kicked out of family activities and being locked out of my room, butbeing locked out of my own home?! Just because of superstitions?! I thought you were my family!"
Rita: (concerened) "Sweetie, we-"
Lincoln: (to his parents) "What kind of parents lock their own child out? You were fine with me sleeping outside and being locked outside? What kind of parents would do that? What kind of family would do this to one of their own? Didn't you say you would never kick us out? The fact that you locked me out of my own home all because of superstitions... ithurt, it really hurt... it felt like a jab inmy heart." (pauses for a few seconds) "Do you guys notlove me anymore? Do I mean nothing to you?"
(and that did it. Everyone finally realized that what they've done. They felt nothing but guilt and shamein their hearts, even the goth child who claims to not have one. tears began to fall out their eyes. Leni stared crying and the rest of them followed suit. Lincoln finally got through to them, but he didn't feel happy about seeing them cry, he knew he was still partly to blame)
Leni: (with a broken voice) "What have we done?!"
Lori: (with a broken voice) "What kind of monsters are we?!"
Luna: (with a broken voice) "We're really sorry bro! We don't know what we were thinking!
Luan: (with a broken voice) "We treated you like an outcast because we were stupid enough to believe that junk!"
Lisa: (with a broken voice, but not as loud): "Even an intelligence person such as myselffell for such bologna. I feel like a fool!"
Lynn Sr.: (with a broken voice) "And we were horrible parents to you, locking you out! We feel so ashamed!"
Rita: (with a broken voice) "We're so sorry Lincoln! We know we don't deserve it, but we hope you can forgive us!"
(after a few seconds of silence, Lincoln smiles at them)
Lincoln: "I forgive you." (They smile, Rita comes over to hug him and rest of them except Lynnjoin in for a group hug. after they let go, Lincoln notices Lynn standing with her head down.) "Lynn?"
(Lynn starts running towards him. Lincoln is scared, expecting her to beat him up, but instead she wraps her arms around his neck and begins to cry)
Lynn: (with a broken voice) "I'm so sorry Lincoln! It was wrong of me to blame you for my failure and call you bad luck! I even threatened you to go to my game! I let my pride get the best to me! I was being a sore loser! But worse than that, I was being a horrible sister!" (continues to cry. Lincoln returns the hug, rubbing her back)
Lincoln: "It's okay, Lynn."
Lynn: "No, it'sNOT okay! I was being selfish!. I was horrible to you! I-
Lincoln: "LYNN!" (Lynn stops) "I forgive you."
Lynn: "After how badly I treated you? Why?"
Lincoln: "Because your my sister." (Lynn looks confused.) "I know you're headstrong sometimes, but I know that deep down in your heart, you love me. As long as I know that it'strue, I wouldn't let this stop me from loving you, or anyone else."
Lynn: Oh Lincoln. I was stupid to believe in luck and to rely on it. I loved winning so much that didn't take my failure like a good sport, and started thiswhole bycalling you bad luck. Maybe I should just quit the team."
Lincoln: "Lynn, don't say that. You love baseball. And even if you don't always succeed, your a good at it. I don't want you quit something you love because of me. I would feel awful if you did."
Lynn: (smiles, more tears come down her eyes,) "What did I do to deserve a brother like you?" (She hugs Lincoln again)
Lincoln: "Thanks Lynn. But I'm not entirelyinnocent myself." (breaks from the hugs) *sighs* "I'm sorry for lying. I only wanted to avoid going to your events because... I do it almost everyday, and it'snot that I hate going to them or don't want to support you, butsometimes, I wanted to take a break form all that, you know,unwind."
Leni: "Linky, why didn't you tell us?"
Lincoln: "I know how much you guys like having me there for you, and I didn't want to upset or disappoint you. I didn't think you guys would believe I was bad luck, even going as far as to lock me out. But in hindsight, I guess I should've thought about it more before lying to you guys."
(the sisters feel bad)
Lori: "Oh Lincoln, if you don't feel like attending our events all the time, we're not forcing you to go."
Lana: "Yeah, we know everyone needs to unwind once in a while. We would never force you to go if you don't want to."
Lola: (slightly sad) "Well, I probably would've before, but, from now on, you come to my pageants when you want to, and if not, it's fine by me."
Luan: "The same goes for all of us. Whenever you fell like you need a break, you're free to take a rain check."
Lynn: "That even incudes my games."
Lucy: "After all, it's not like we always go to each others events 100% of the time, so why should you?"
Lisa: "And if it's any consolation, you weren't the only one who should've thought about what you were doing. We should thought about it ourselves before jumping to a preposterous conclusion that you were bad luck."
Lincoln: "Thanks. I promise I won't be absent all the time, just once in a while. I'll definitely come to your next game, Lynn."
(Lynn smiles from that)
Lincoln: "Oh, and I'm sorry for breaking your golf clubs, Lori."
Lori: (smiles forgivingly) "It's alright, Lincoln. I don't even care about that anymore."
Lincoln: "Still, I wish I would've just told you guys the truth, then maybe none of this would've happened."
Luna: "No, you were right. We messed up too. We let superstitions get to us, and we did something no family should ever do."
Lincoln: "Well Luna, we all make mistakes. The important thing is that we learn from them."
Luna: (opens her arms out) "Come here, bro." (Lincoln, without hesitation, hugs her, with the rest of the sisters joining in for another group hug.)
Lincoln: "I love you girls."
Lori: "We love you too."
(the parents watch and smil)
Lynn Sr.: "Get ready kids, we're going to the movies again, but Lincoln is coming with us."
Rita: "And this time, we'll let Lincoln decide what movie we'll watch."
Lincoln: (nervously) "Well, there is this new Ace Savvy movie that just came out, but I know none of you like Ace Savvy like I do."
Lucy: "We don't care, we'll watch anything you want."
Lincoln: "No, Lucy. I don't want to pick a movie you guys possiblyly won't enjoy, I want to watch something all of us will enjoy." (pauses for a second) "You know what, I'll decide when we get there and see what movies are playing."
Lynn Sr.: "Alright lets get going."
Rita: "And tomorrow, we're going to the beach." (looks at Lincoln with a smile and puts a hand on his shoulder) "All of us."
Lincoln: "Well what are we standing here for? Let's go!"
(the sisters cheers. Everyone heads to Vanzilla, but Lincoln still stays in place)
Lincoln: (to the viewers) "Well, looks like everyone learned something. My family learned not to let something as stupid as superstitions get to them and tear us apart, and I learned to just be honest about things like this instead of convincing them about something ridiculous just take a break from going to certain events.
Lori: "Hurry up, Lincoln!"
Lincoln: "Coming!" (to the viewers) "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna have some fun with my family." (heads to Vanzilla and gets inside, they drive of to the movies)
