I thought this smoothie was going to be disgusting but I was surprised to actually really enjoy it. This is another fruit free smoothie and this time it is grain free too. It’s a pure vegetable smoothie.

Turbo Nutrient Booster: Vegetable Smoothie Vitamin Powerhouse Recipe (Fruit Free) (2)Some people call these blender soups. I prefer my soups hot, in a bowl with some carbs on the side. This is not a soup in my mind. It’s a chilledrefreshingvegetable blended salad drink.

I wanted to create a smoothie that was chock a block full of nutrients from a variety of different vegetables. I didn’t want to waste any of the space with empty calories so there is no water in this smoothie. The cucumber and tomato provide more than enough liquid to blend this smoothie into a drink, and that means every ounce of space is dedicated to vitamins and minerals to nourish your body and give you a massive energy boost.

This isn’t a meal replacement smoothie as it doesn’t contain any filling grains but I like to think of it more as like a vegetable juice with added fiber as nothing is stripped out. So it’s great if you want the benefits of juicing but don’t own a juicer like I don’t. It’s also much quicker to clean a blender than a juicer.

This smoothie is also great for people who don’t like salads. Blend your salad up, gulp it down (make sure you still chew it) and don’t worry about chewing through mountains of salad each day. Throughout my pregnancy my taste for salads is up and down like a yo yo so this ensures I’m still getting some nutrients if all I want to do is load up on comforting carbs most of the time.

Although I have a massive sweet tooth and there are loads of nutrition in fruit smoothies, it’s good to get a variety of different fruit and veg so this is a great option for mixing things up a bit and making sure your diet is balanced.

As this smoothie is raw it retains all the available nutrients which would be boiled away if you were to make this into a hot soup.

It actually tastes really good too. I was bracing myself for the worst and ended up looking forward to my next serving of this later on in the day. This is a great energy booster in between meals.

This recipe contains 2 servings. If you don’t have any of the ingredients just leave them out. It’s quite flexible.

Hi Katherine,

I just wanted to tell you I completed the 7 day detox and I feel so great.

I have lost 6lbs, do not feel like I need more my morning coffee, the flushing of my facial skin from rosacea has dramatically reduced and I am so excited to wake up each morning and make a green thickie for breakfast!!

I am a stay at-home, homeschooling momma of 3 littles and at times so busy I would forget to feed myself!

I would go most of the day without eating and then snack on random things.

I gained 60 pounds the last 6 years during pregnancy.

I have lost 30lbs but recently plateaued and have felt so frustrated.

I’ve tried everything from paleo and keto to the point where I didn’t know what to eat or how much and felt like even eating fruit was bad for me which thankfully it’s not!

What a game changer for me. Thank you for sharing a simple but effective program.

I’m so excited to continue another week with this plan!ThankfulStephanie
