How to open runebound chest in WoW? ›

To open the chest you need to click on the floating icons - in the same order as they appear on the stone discs on the wall behind - left to right. The first disc is buried, so you have to rely on the other disks to determine which icon is the buried one and the first to go.

Solution is:

Find a lock that switches 4 runes and click on it till you get the corresponding chain unlock. And the final lock should be the one that can switch only itself.

Each chest has four chains that can go around it, and each chain will go away when the rune beneath it is set to the proper one. You can change the rune by clicking on it. Once all four chains are gone, the chest unlocks and you can open it for that sweet sweet anima power.
