While the film is fictionalized, it is drawn directly from the memoir/biography Dance of the Infidels written by French author Francis Paudras, who had befriended Powell during his Paris expatriate days and on whom the character Francis was based.

Johnny Green's "Body and Soul" was used in a Broadway show and became a hit after Coleman Hawkins's 1939 recording. It is the most recorded jazz standard of all time. In the 1930s, swing jazz emerged as a dominant form in American music.
The actors are really good. The movie's plot is a quite good, but there is some part of the movie feels a bit nonsense. The villain (Wi Ha-Joon) and the mute girl (Jin Ki-Joo) played their role really well.
In 1943, he began romancing his future wife, Nellie Smith, and registered for copyright a song called, "I Need You So." The next year, the Cootie Williams Orchestra recorded the ballad; but by then, Monk had dropped the original lyrics and now called it 'Round Midnight.

Six Minutes to Midnight is a 2020 British war drama film directed by Andy Goddard from a screenplay loosely based on a true story by Goddard, Celyn Jones and Eddie Izzard, starring Izzard, Judi Dench, Carla Juri, James D'Arcy and Jim Broadbent.
