Episode 1
Sora, Donald, and Goofy arrive at the Underworld Entrance just in time to witness a woman being attacked by Heartless. This is Megara, and Sora can Help Her Up to continue the story. Before heading deeper into the Underworld, consider buying the Comet Staff and Falling Star weapons for Donald and Goofy from the Moogle.
Hide ads
Something you should notice before going further is that Sora's Drive Gauge is currently chained up. He can't enter Valor Form at this point. Approach the large doors to reach the Cave of the Dead: Entrance. There are floating lights in these rooms that break into MP orbs when struck, which is helpful if you cast regularly.
Enter the large room to fight some of the new Rabid Dog Heartless before continuing to the Passage, where an Organization member can be seen. Follow the pathway down until it splits at a fork.
Both options lead to the same area, so it doesn't matter which way you go, except that there are chests along both paths. Take them both in either order to get a variety of items: Mythril Shard, Ether, AP Boost, and Hi-Potion (Treasures #2, 4-6). After exploring both routes, continue to descend along the water, grabbing the Mythril Stone (Treasure #3) at the bottom before going through the doorway to the Inner Chamber.
There is a save point and a Moogle in the Inner Chamber, but also the Underworld Map and a Mythril Shard (Treasures #6-7). The crack in the wall to the south takes Sora to the next area, the Valley of the Dead.
Creeper Plants start attacking at the start of this area. There are no chests here, so just follow the pathway to the next area. After the cutscene, Pain, Panic, Hades, and Pete all gain Journal Entries, and Auron joins the party.
The escape sequence is fairly simple: defeat the Heartless, then move to the next platform. Hades is invincible, so don't waste time trying to damage him. It ends upon reaching the Inner Chamber. Auron finally gets a Journal entry here. Backtrack all the way through the Cave of the Dead until you reach the starting area for a boss fight against Cerberus.
Boss: Cerberus
In my opinion, the hardest part of this fight is that Cerberus moves around a lot. He's a big dog, and Sora can only damage him by attacking one of his three heads. The heads share an HP pool, so no need to focus on one head at a time.
There is a bit of a QTE at the end of the fight. Use the various reaction commands, such as Evade and Jump to bounce back and forth between Cerberus' jaws and finally defeat him.
Use the northern passageway to ascend to the Coliseum area. Approach the front doors to learn about the Olympus Stone, and receive the Coliseum Map from Hercules. The door to the north leads to the main coliseum area, where Sora reunites with Philoctetes and can get some training.
Practice
A real easy one to start, just gather 20 orbs within the time limit.
Maniac
The orb goal is up to 100 now, but the time limit is significantly increased as well. When the large pot appears, destroy it right away. It drops three orbs, but they are each worth 10.
After training, talk to Herc for a scene. Sora meets Pegasus, and is tasked with retrieving the stolen Olympus Stone. Return to the Underworld, where the green barrier from before has been dispelled. Take the Power Boost (Treasure #1) and then pass through the door to the southeast to find the Underworld Caverns.
There is a thick fog in the first area, the Underworld Caverns: Entrance, that hides a drop down to a lower level. The new Trick Ghost Heartless appears here as well. From the top-level, jump down into the fog and then turn to the right 90 degrees after landing to see a Mythril Shard (Treasure #11) on a ledge. Drop down to the bottom and continue on through the open passageway.
Follow the wall to Sora's right as he enters the room to find an Ether (Treasure #13), then continue counter-clockwise until two new paths appear. See the screenshot below.
Begin by taking the left path (man I really dislike not being able to give compass directions) to find a Bright Shard (Treasure #12), then use the stairway right next to that chest to get to a different part of the Caverns Entrance. Open the two chests here for an AP Boost and a Lucid Shard (Treasures #9-10), then descend the staircase again.
Back at the Lost Road, hug the wall to the left of Sora to get a Mythril Stone (Treasure #15), then move around the room clockwise until a path shoots out straight. Go past the opening to a new area, grabbing the Mythril Shard (Treasure #14). Return to the opening and go through to the Atrium.
Move forward just a little bit to see a Lucid Stone (Treasure #16) to the right. Ascend the ramp, and jump across the small gap for an AP Boost (Treasure #17) before entering the obvious arena where an Organization member can be seen.
Boss: Demyx
Dance, water, dance!
Sora has a short time limit to defeat 100 of Demyx's water clones. The easy way to get through this is to spam whenever it shows up to deal damage to a bunch of the enemies all at once.
With the Olympus Stone recovered, Sora can now use Valor Form and Summons. Secret Ansem's Report 5 is also made available to Sora. Demyx will reappear just long enough to give some more information on Absent Silhouettes, but these aren't important right now.
There is a door behind where Demyx stood, and it leads to The Lock. The last three chests are all in here, providing the Caverns Map, a Mythril Shard, and an AP Boost (Treasures #18-20). Use the convenient save point, then approach the lock and Go To The Rescue.
Boss: Pete
Defend Meg while attacking Heartless. Pretty easy stuff here. Unlike the events from the Land of Dragons, there are no orbs to collect to lower Meg's damage. Focus on the flying Heartless first, then focus all your attacks on Pete. With the Drive Gauge unlocked, this might be a good opportunity to break out Valor Form or summon Chicken Little.
After defeating Pete the first time, there is a brief scene where Meg is rescued. Team up with Hercules to fight Pete again, only this time there is a 1 minute 30 second time limit. When Pete summons a glowing sphere around him, run up and use Pinball to shatter the globe and stun him for a few seconds. If Pete conjures a large boulder over Sora's head, get close to Hercules and use Aura Sphere to protect against it.
Sora and co. are automatically returned to the Underworld Entrance, so save and then head up to the Coliseum for another boss fight.
Boss: Hydra
Like Cerberus, the Hydra moves its head around wildly while attacking. Once enough damage is done, however, the hydra is stunned, allowing for a Vanquish reaction to chop off the head. Repeat this as more and more heads appear, until Phil starts screaming to "GET UP ON THE HYDRA'S BACK!"
Climb up and use Phil One-Two, which turns into Urninator, to stun any heads that are currently active.
With the first set of heads defeated, the hydra will spawn seven more. This is where it gets a bit dangerous. Avoid the attacks when the heads have reared up into the air, and attack when they come down closer to ground level. Watch for the Pegasus Run command, and Attack each head in turn. Attack any head to get a Vanquish prompt, and use it to finish the fight.
Sora will use the Olympus Stone to clear the World, and gain the Hero's Crest Keyblade. A bunch of things are added to the Journal as well, so take some time to check that all out.
Sora's next destination is Disney Castle, beyond Hollow Bastion.
Episode 2
This Episode is made available after completing Episode 2 at both The Land of Dragons and Beast's Castle. Land at Olympus Coliseum for a scene, then speak with Pain (the red one) to try out the Hades Cup.
The first two matches are against simple teams of Heartless, including the new Tornado Step and Crescendo enemies. After completing these fights and watching a scene with Auron, use the southwest exit to reach the Cave of the Dead for a scene.
Attempt to Stop Auron at the docks for yet another scene, before heading back into the Cave of the Dead for some exploring. The path is linear, so follow it all the way back to Hades' Chamber to find Auron's Statue. A bunch of Dusks will attack, and after defeating them Sora is returned to the Underworld Entrance. Talk to Pain again to continue the Hades Cup. Bring some Fire Resistance if you have it.
Boss: Hades
Hades is invulnerable for the first few moments of the fight, but after a scene, Hercules will join. When Hades is red and invulnerable, use Aura Sphere to turn him blue and then attack. In fact, you can spend the entire fight shooting Aura Spheres, and they will take him out.
The most annoying of Hades' abilities is when he teleports around the arena. As his health drops, Hades will launch larger area of effect attacks, but the damage is minimal. They were more annoying than harmful.
Sora receives the absolutely wonderful Guardian Soul Keyblade after this sequence. The Story and Album for Olympus are completed, and a new Tournament is open, The Titan Cup. You get an Achievement.

Complete the Olympus Coliseum episodes.
1 guide
The most likely next step for Sora is either Agrabah or Halloween Town, to complete Episode 2 there.
Puzzle Pieces
There are 9 Puzzle Pieces to be found across Olympus Coliseum. The following information will guide you through getting all the Puzzle Pieces in order, however, there will be some backtracking.
Land at the Underworld Entrance save point, then head to the southwest blue doors to reach the Cave of the Dead: Entrance. The first crown sits along the eastern side of this room, at the top of a small ramp (Piece #1).
Return to the Underworld Entrance and take the large green doors in the southeast corner to reach the Underworld Caverns: Entrance area. The second crown is directly ahead of Sora, just beyond the edge of the ledge that he is standing on (Piece #2). From that initial ledge, Glide across to the small platform on the southeast side of the room, above the fog. There are two chests up here that were opened long ago. Face northwest to see the next crown hiding behind a pillar (Piece #3).
Pass through The Lost Road and the Atrium to reach the area known as The Lock, where Hades had imprisoned Megara. There is a crown on the far side of the room, behind where the physical lock had been before (Piece #4).
Use the save point here to return to the World Map, then land again at the Underworld Entrance. Head through the Cave of the Dead to reach The Passage, then follow that path long enough to see the next crown floating in the air high above. You will need to jump from the elevated platform to the east, or Glide from the very top of The Passage, where you entered from (Piece #5).
Once again, return to the Underworld Entrance and cross over to the Underworld Caverns. Drop down off the ledge this time, and move forward to The Lost Road. The first crown here is right ahead of Sora (Piece #6). From this spot, head east and then north through the tunnels to see the next crown above a similar outcropping (Piece #7). Head all the way south and peek around the corner to the west to find the third crown in this area (Piece #8).
There is an exit nearby that leads to the Atrium. The final crown in this World is forward and to the east (Piece #9).
Missions and Minigames
Event Quests
Absent Silhouette
Visit Olympus Coliseum and land at the Cave of the Dead: Inner Chamber save point (or, you know, just walk there). The Absent Silhouette is located right next to the doorway that leads to the Valley of the Dead.
Sora returns to his battle against Zexion in Castle Oblivion for this fight.
The initial stage is fairly easy, featuring a three-on-one battle. As Zexion takes damage, he will try to trap Sora, Donald, and Goofy in his book. Destroy the book your friends are trapped in to bring them back to the fight.
Eventually, Sora will get dragged into the book as well. There will be multiple copies of the book floating around, but you want to attack the one that occasionally glows red, as this is the real book that Zexion is controlling. Use the Dispel command to return to the main arena. As the fight goes on, Zexion will fight back more and more, preventing Sora from landing a finisher on the book to escape the sequence. Use any magic attack to counter this.
There is a minigame of sorts within this battle. Sometimes the gang will be placed in a dark room with three spotlights that change from blue to red. Sora wants to be in the blue light at the end of the sequence to be protected from the meteor shower that happens afterwards. I haven't been able to determine what the pattern for these lights it.
At several points during this fight, Sora's action board will be transformed. Use Turn to change the commands. Entries like Treasure are fairly self-explanatory, but you are looking for things like Open and Liberate to return to regular commands.
Defeating Zexion rewards the whole crew with a Bonus Level, and unlocks Zexion's Data fight in Radiant Garden. Sora also receives the Book of Shadows Synthesis Recipe and a Lost Illusion Synthesis item.
Phil's Training
Sora can find Phil hanging out next to the save point at the Coliseum Gates. The first two entries here, Try Practice Mode and Try Maniac Mode, are self-explanatory. Complete with a score of 1,000 or more, however, needs a bit of explaining.
To prepare, lower Sora's combo as far as possible by unequipping any Combo Plus and Air Combo Plus Abilities, and equipping any Negative Combo Abilities. Finishing Plus is helpful, but not required. Go through the list of Sora's Abilities and turn off anything that affects finishing moves, with the exception of Magnet Burst; you want that equipped for this challenge. The Fenrir Keyblade is great here, but if you don't have it yet, Rumbling Rose is probably the best choice. (It's what I used.) Draw is helpful, but unnecessary here.
Speak with Phil and enter the Maniac Mode challenge. For the first couple sets of pots, do a quick aerial combo that ends in Magnet Burst. It will destroy any pot that is within range. Do this until you notice a large pot that spawns at a distance away from a group of smaller pots.
Move behind the large pot, and do a ground combo to knock the large pot into the cluster of small pots. This is similar to the Junk Sweep job in Twilight Town. By hitting the large pot into the smaller ones, extra-large orbs will spawn. Use Magnet Burst again on the small pots to destroy them and grab the orbs.
The Underdrome
After completing Episode 1 in Disney Castle/Timeless River, Sora can begin competing in the Underdrome, a new coliseum. Fly to Olympus and land at the Underworld Entrance, then speak with Panic (the blue devil) to register.
As with the tournaments in KH1, waiting to do the tournaments until Sora is much higher level than recommended makes them an absolute breeze. Take a look ahead at the rewards to see if they are worth your time. You will need to complete all of them at some point to gain a variety of Achievements and to earn 100% completion.
In order to unlock the Underdrome Achievements, Sora simply needs to complete each cup once. There are additional objectives, however, that are necessary for completing Jiminy's Journal. The following general tips are useful for all of the cups, with more specific tips to follow under each heading below.
- Equip as many instances of Jackpot as you can. Sora learns this ability at level 73 (Sword), 36 (Shield), or 44 (Staff). An additional copy of Jackpot can be gained by equipping the Wishing Lamp Keyblade, which is obtained by completing Agrabah, Episode 2.
- Stage hazards drop orbs too! Try to destroy the candles that appear on several of the stages. They don't necessarily drop a ton of orbs, but they add up considering how many objects there are throughout the many waves.
- Defeat enemies quickly to increase the Combo count, viewable in the top right corner. The higher the combo, the more orbs the enemies will drop! Consider spells like Magnet followed by Thunder to bring the enemies together and kill them all at once.
- Despite the animation, Sora does NOT need to pick up the orbs to earn them. They are automatically added to the score when the enemy is defeated.
- Double Score Mode has a chance to occur when Sora defeats multiple enemies with the same attack. This is a vital part of getting a higher value score targets in the Journal.
- Any time you can use a Summon, bring out Peter Pan. Each attack he makes drops some orbs
- The enemies in the final wave of each tournament DO NOT DROP ORBS. If you are going for the target score and don't have it by the time you hit the end, stop and Retry.
Sora can participate in the first four tournaments by speaking with Pain, the blue devil, in the ??? area. For the latter four, the Paradox Battles, head to Hades' Chamber and speak with the Lord of the Dead himself.

Pain and Panic Cup
Goal: Win with a score of 2,000 or more
Description: "Fight alongside your friends. The Drive Gauge can't be used but Limits consume less MP than usual."
Sora has one limit (Trinity Limit) while Donald and Goofy each have two (Fantasia & Flare Force, Tornado Fusion & Teamwork). That being said, spells like Magnet and Thunder (especially at higher levels) are just as good.

All the enemies in the Paradox version of this cup are the same, just powered up. Note that Donald and Goofy remain in the party during Wave 8. Leon and Yuffie have greatly increased health bars but fight the same. You shouldn't need to resort to any tricks to hit the point goal.

Goal: Win with a score of 1,000 or more
Description: "A solo fight using Sora. The Drive Gauge fills faster than usual, and Sora can use Drives alone."
If you are just burning through to get the Achievement, consider dropping into Master Form and casting magic. At round 8, the environment in the arena will turn dark. This functions just like the boss fight against Barbossa & the Illuminator from Port Royal. Lock-on to enemies to find them, or use Magnet to bring them all together.

The fight against Cerberus is just like every other time you have fought him. Since Sora can use Drive Forms alone, consider activating Limit Form and using Strike Raid. It makes Sora temporarily invincible, and does a rather great deal of damage to Cerberus.
Completing the cup rewards Sora with the Rising Dragon weapon for Donald and a Serenity Crystal. You unlock an Achievement.

Win the Cerberus Paradox Cup.
Titan Cup
Goal: Win with a score of 5,000 or more
Description: "A solo fight using Sora. Sora can use Summons alone in this Tournament."
During the Titan Cup, Sora begins every battle with a full Drive Gauge, and can summon without any allies. In addition, Sora has a Hit Counter in the top left corner of the screen. Each time Sora gets hit, this number decreases. Reaching 0 will cause the tournament to end.
The point goal of 5,000 is quite high and can be difficult to reach. During the first wave, allow the enemies to bring Sora's health down to critical, then summon Stitch. One of his abilities causes enemies to drop HP orbs; in the tournament, these are turned into points orbs. While Stitch is up, run or Glide around the outside of the arena. I was able to reach 5,000 points by the end of the third wave doing this. Depending on your luck, this number can be higher or lower. Just take care not to let the hit counter decrease too far.

Hercules is much easier here than he was in KH1. He will still occasionally glow gold and become invulnerable, but this effect is short-lived. Stay away from him while he glows, and lay out the combos when it goes away.
Completing the cup rewards Goofy with the Genji Shield for Goofy, and the Skillful Ring accessory. You unlock an Achievement.
- Artisan Hero
Win the Titan Cup.
Paradox Battles: Titan
Goal: Win with a score of 10,000 or more
Sora gets a 500 point hit count this time, instead of 300. Use Wave 3 and the Stitch trick to hit the point goal early. Then just coast through to the final battle.
Completing this cup unlocks an Achievement.

Win the Titan Paradox Cup.
Goddess of Fate Cup
Goal: Win with a score of 3,000 or more
Description: "Fight alongside your friends. There are no special rules in this tournament."
There are quite a few standing torches during these fights. Destroying them will drop points orbs! Equip Fire on a shortcut, and maybe equip some Ethers (or better) to Sora. Also, you know, do the Stitch trick.

Titan Cup means Sora is alone, and has a 500 hit counter. Don't let it drop to 0! If you want to get to the Goal easy, use these waves and the Stitch trick. Then the rest of the tournament won't matter.

**This wave is kind of hectic. Enemies spawn in multiple groups that overlap, making counting them a bit difficult.
***The only real difficult part of this fight is the time limit. Pop into Master of Final Form and spam Reflect to have an easy time.

Mushroom XIII
No. 6
Location: Underworld Caverns: Atrium
Goal: Defeat all Mushrooms within 45 seconds
Make your way through the Underworld Caverns to the Atrium, or land at The Lock and go through the only door to reach this area, the same place Sora fought Demyx for the first time.
Mushroom No. 6 will summon multiple copies of itself in different locations around the arena and in different amounts and positions. The goal is not just to defeat all of them, but within 45 seconds to clear the Journal time. Sora will need Final Form, Thundaga, and a whole lot of Ethers. Equip the Photon Debugger in one slot, and any Keyblade with a high magic stat in the other (like Ultima Weapon or Fatal Crest). Make sure Thundaga and Ether are on Sora's shortcuts for maximum efficiency.
Place Sora right next to the Mushroom and don't move him from that spot. Enter Final Form, then instigate the duel. Immediately cast Thundaga on the Mushroom, then start spamming to lock-on to the new Mushrooms as they appear. Cast Thundaga to defeat each cluster of Mushrooms in turn, casting repeatedly on groups that are spread out to hit them all. Use an Ether before Sora's MP runs out; waiting until MP Charge begins slows down the time too much, and takes two Ethers to replenish instead of one.
This will take multiple tries, which you should use to try and memorize how many Thundagas it takes to clear each wave of enemies. Use Ethers between waves when Sora's MP gets low; it's better to use the Ether early so that Sora doesn't drop into MP Charge during a wave.
