Why are the power windows not working on my Nissan Juke? ›

The most common reasons a Nissan Juke window won't go up or down are window's electrical system such as a fuse or relay, a broken window motor, or a broken window regulator.

Main relay is on the battery positive cable terminal at the battery. There is something on the negative terminal too.

First, check the fuse related to the horn in the fuse box to ensure it is not blown. Next, inspect the wiring connected to the horn for any damage or loose connections. If no issues are found with the fuse or wiring, it may be necessary to have the horn itself tested and potentially replaced.

There are two fuse boxes, one located near the engine or under the hood and the other is located near the driver seat. The car fuse box under the hood protects engine components including engine control unit (ECU), cooling fan, ABS motor and battery.

To locate the fuse specification chart for your vehicle or to learn how to change a fuse, refer to the "Fuses" section of your Owner's Manual.

Pull the power window switch and hold it to close the window, and then hold the switch more than 3 seconds after the window is closed completely. Release the power window switch. Operate the window by the automatic function to confirm the initialisation is complete.

This is usually located within the dash of the car by the steering wheel, and there is another under the hood of the car. Once you locate the fuse box that corresponds to the power windows, if the fuse is blown, replace it with the same type of fuse.

Blown Fuse

When you are having issues with your power windows, you may still hear them trying to work when you push the button. However, if you hear nothing at all, a fuse might be to blame.

Doing a Resistance Test

A functioning relay coil should have a reading of between 50 and 120 ohms, but usually it's very near 75 ohms. If it reads a lot higher or is open (“OL” on the DVOM), the coil is faulty and you'll need a new relay.

In some instances of a faulty relay, the vehicle will be able to restart once the relay cools off, only to stall out once again after the relay overheats. Car not starting: Another symptom of a faulty ignition relay is a no power condition.

Where is the ECM relay fuse located? ›

The power distribution center, or fuse block, located under the hood houses most or all of the vehicle's fuses and relays. It contains a relay for the ECM that is powered up when the ignition key is turned to the on position. This ECM power relay acts as a switch that supplies power to the ECM.

The most common reasons a Nissan Juke won't start are a dead battery, an alternator problem, or failed starter.

Press and hold down the reset button (this is normally found under the steering wheel) until the low-pressure warning light blinks thrice. Release the button and start your engine. Let the vehicle run for 20 mins to let computer calibrate all sensors. Turn ignition off and the system is reset.

Locating your fuse box

You must know where your fuse box is located, in case you need to turn the power off in the event of an emergency. Fuse boxes are commonly found in utility rooms, porches or under-the-stairs cupboards. You may also have one in your hallway or garage.

Look for the fuse box in closets, hallways, mudrooms, crawl spaces, basem*nts, utility rooms, or laundry rooms. Fuse boxes in more prominent locations might be covered with a wood panel or picture meant to disguise the appearance of the box cover or door.
